It is my experience …
It is my experience that often times people (most of the time, men) do not like a woman with an opinion. So I hope you didn’t have too much trouble as far as the repercussions that you mentioned. For the record, I don’t see why you would have to fake it if you needed to spit it out! Some people can’t handle the truth!

I knew you’d like the peanut butter! Told ya’! But I don’t really see how you wouldn’t have a right to bash someone else’s product if you didn’t like it. This is America – freedom of speech, and besides, It’s your (subjective) opinion anyway. And other people might have a different opinion. I take that into account for every opinion video I watch.
