cambridge diet!? Well i go to see my councillor on monday to start the cambridge diet on the sole source plan.Has anybody got any tips for me? And have any of you tried it before.Im wantin to lose approx 4 stone!
It’s right up there with lighterlife for the difficulty factor! I lost five stone a few years back with help from my GP (prescribed Xenical) and I also used Trim Right, a herbal supplement that suppresses appetite and increases metabolism. I’ve kept the weight off (check out my 360) but it hasn’t been easy! I hope the Cambridge Diet works for you but be prepared for hunger pangs. Very best of luck to you and the first answer is correct – keep your eyes on the prize – you’ll feel fantastic once the weight starts to come off x References :
My OH is on this diet and has lost a stone in 4 weeks. Whilst not a fan of faddy diets, this one has worked so far. However what you must bear in mind is that whilst following the plan you will need to be 100% dedicated, i.e. drop the alcohol and don’t tempt yourself with treats on the premise that you will get back on track later. It is hard work !
You need also to combine this plan with an exercise regime to maximise the results. My only concern with these diets is when you come off them – the dedication must remain and you must not get back into old and bad habits when it comes to food, drink and exercise. References :
hello! i also have just started the diet on Tues, so on day 3 today. doing OK so far, not too hungry and liking the bars.
i normally have a shake for breakfast, half a bar for lunch, soup for tea, and then the other half bar in the evening while i watch the telly (this is when i normally eat the most!)
also been drinking plenty of water, and having smints to keep my breath nice and fresh!
don’t know how much I’ve lost as not weighed myself, gonna wait till i go back to my counciller.
really excited!!!
i too have got 4 stone to lose. 13 now, wanna be 9.

Hi there my name is Chris, Male and 25 years old. All through my life my weight has been up and down. I decided to go on the Cambridge Diet about a year ago and it was such a fantastic diet. I lost 3 stones in just over 6 weeks. I was on the Sole Source of the diet whereby i drink 3 shakes per day. Some days i would miss out a drink or two due to the fact that it never made mehungry and i would be busy doing other things although this is not adviseable. You cannot eat anything or drink anything apart from water. I used to drink still water, sparkling water, boiling water etc but never flavoured water or chewing gum etc. My Cambridge Counsellor even advised against the water flavouring you can buy from them. Although you will not gain weight with this it will however delay you losing weight. They say drink 4 litres of water a day but i used to drink at least 8 litres of water per day as "the more you drink, the more you shrink" this is the moto. I only felt hungry on my first 3 daysof the diet. What you should do is buy Keto Stix from the chemist they only cost a couple of quid for 50 of them. That way you can test yourself to make sure you are in ketosis (fat burning mode). Goodluck and i hope you are successful. I was losing 7lbs every single week with no sign of slowing down. You should try looking on the cambridge diet website for inspirational slideshows of before and after pics, you can also check http://www.minimins.com with is a free forum to use and talk to other people who are on the diet to give each other tips etc, it is an excellent website and i frequently visit it myself. Havea look. I went off the dietand the weight started going back on again just as it would with any other diet, the reason why is because i never changed my eating habits. Im going back on my diet on Monday and i cant wait, it is so successful. I am very impatient and i cant be bothered withthis losing a few pounds per week, i like to se fast results. I would like to keep in touch and let me know how you are doing. My email address is: christopherguy25@yahoo.co.uk References : Cambridge dieter myself
